Children’s privacy
Children’s privacy notice
Effective October 21, 2026
Ramp Up Athlete is used by parents to track their child’s baseball. Children never create accounts, and a parent controls everything about their child’s information.
Who is responsible
[Legal entity name], [street address, city], Texas [ZIP], phone [phone], privacy@rampupathlete.com. We are the only operator that collects children’s information through the app.
How the app works for kids
- Only a parent or legal guardian 18 or older can create an account and add a child.
- Kids use Player mode on the family’s phone, inside the parent’s account. In Player mode a child can tick off tasks, rate how their arm feels, do mental check-ins, play baseball-IQ quizzes, and film and check their own clips. They can’t delete or change entries or settings, and leaving Player mode needs the parent’s PIN.
- Nothing about a child is ever public, there are no public profiles, and children can’t message anyone through the app.
What we collect about a child
- Name (last name optional), birthday, jersey number, positions, throwing and batting hand, optional photo.
- Pitch counts, games and stats, practice logs, test results, height and weight.
- Injuries, arm feel, sleep, energy, water and mental check-ins (health information — see our consumer health data policy).
- Photos and videos the family records, which show the child’s face and body, and video-check results (timings and measurements of body positions). The video check runs on the family’s device; we don’t use it to recognize anyone and don’t store body landmarks.
We collect only what the app needs to do these jobs. A child’s participation never depends on giving more.
Parental consent
- To start: before any child’s information is saved, the parent confirms they are 18 or older and the child’s parent or guardian, and agrees to this notice. We record the date, the notice version and how consent was given.
- Sharing with a coach is a separate choice. You can use every family feature without it. Adding your child to a team shares pitching safety, games and the team schedule with that team’s coaches; video, growth numbers and mental check-ins are each shared only if you turn them on. We ask for this consent separately when you first join a team.
- We never disclose a child’s information to anyone else except our hosting provider (to store it for us) or when the law requires it.
Who receives a child’s information
- The parents on the family account.
- Coaches of teams the parent adds the child to, limited as above.
- Our hosting provider, Supabase, which stores data for us under contract and may not use it for anything else.
- People a parent chooses to share with using the Share button (for example a clip link that stops working after 2 days).
What we don’t do
- No advertising, no selling or renting a child’s information, and no targeted advertising.
- No behavioral tracking or profiling for marketing, and no using children’s information to train AI models.
How long we keep it
Until the parent deletes it, or 24 months after the parent’s last sign-in (we email 30 days before), whichever comes first. Deleted accounts are removed within 30 days and from backups within a further 30 days. Full details are in our privacy policy.
Parents’ rights
A parent can at any time review their child’s information in the app, export it, correct it, stop further collection, withdraw consent for coach sharing (turn it off or leave the team), or have the child’s information deleted. Delete single entries and clips in the app; for a player or the whole account, email privacy@rampupathlete.com from the account email. We complete deletion within 30 days.
Changes
If we change how we collect, use or share children’s information, we’ll ask parents for new consent before the change applies.
