Getting started
Most things take one tap on the + button. Here’s how to do the main jobs.
Set up your player
Sign up with your email, name your family, then add your player: first name, birthday, which hand they throw and bat with. Add leagues on Edit player so the pitch limits match your league.
Log a pitch count, game or practice
Tap + (bottom middle on a phone, top of the sidebar on a computer) and pick what to log. Pitch counts keep rest days right, so log every outing — games and bullpens.
Count pitches during a game
Tap + › Game day. Tap Ball, Strike or In play for each pitch; the app warns near the limit and stops at it. Tap Save when they come out.
Film and check a swing or pitch
Tap + › Film or analyze a video, pick Hitting, Pitching or Fielding, then Record with guide. Film from the side, 8–12 feet away, phone at hip height and level, whole body in the box. Then tap Analyze on the clip.
Join or start a team
Families: open Team › Join a team and enter the code from the coach, then choose what the coach can see. Coaches: Team › Start a team, then send the code to families from Roster.
Fill the schedule automatically
Open Today › Next up (the strip at the top) › Team calendar link. Only one parent in the family needs to do this; everyone in the family sees the games and practices.
- GameChanger: in the GameChanger app, open the team › gear icon › Schedule Sync › Sync Schedule to Your Calendar › Copy Calendar Link. Paste it in Ramp Up and tap Add.
- TeamSnap or SportsEngine: Schedule › Subscribe › copy the link, then paste it the same way.
- GroupMe (once): on a computer, sign in at dev.groupme.com and copy the Access Token (top right). In Ramp Up tap Use an access token instead, paste it, then tap your team’s group. Events from the group’s Calendar tab then update by themselves. The token stays on your device.
- Coach’s message or tournament schedule: tap Paste a schedule and paste the message. On Android you can long-press a GroupMe message › Share › Ramp Up. Check the list and tap Add.
Each game row then shows the weather at game time and a Calendar button to put it in your phone’s calendar.
Player mode
From the menu, choose Viewing as › Player and set a 4-digit PIN. Your player sees their day, drills, IQ, mental check-ins and video. To come back, tap Parent view and enter the PIN. Forgot it? Tap Forgot PIN and sign in again.
