About
Built by a baseball parent
Ramp Up Athlete started on the bleachers: a travel-ball parent with a notebook of pitch counts, a camera roll full of swings, and a coach asking “can he throw today?”
Why it exists
Youth arms get hurt from too many pitches and too little rest — and the numbers that prevent it are scattered across rule books, group chats and memory. Ramp Up Athlete puts them in one place and answers the question in a second, using the published Pitch Smart guidelines and your league’s rules.
The rest of the app is about getting better the right way: measuring growth against kids the same age, practicing the one thing that matters most, and keeping parents, players and coaches on the same plan.
What we believe
Safety first
The pitching answer is always the strictest rule, and it’s the first thing you see.
Parents own the data
Kids don’t get accounts. Families decide what a coach can see, and can delete anything.
Plain words
Every number comes with what it means and what to do next.
Kids are kids
Progress over rankings. Late bloomers catch up — the app says so.
What it isn’t
Ramp Up Athlete isn’t a recruiting site, a social network or medical advice. Nothing about a player is ever public.
